CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL
WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY?
We all enjoyed a delicious Bank Holiday Roast Dinner with family & friends. We were seated in a dog friendly room as had our multipool with us. Food was fab & piping hot. I asked for extra gravy & that was brought to our table quickly. All the staff were extremely pleasant & friendly. A special mention to Sophie is as a delightful young lady, she looked after us extremely well.
Excellent Sunday roast lunch! Roast pork to melt in your mouth with all the trimmings. Very flavourful, unlike some of the bland rubbish served up in so many places. Couldn’t fault it, the best roast I have had in two years. The service was also excellent, with staff friendly and helpful. The venue itself is light and spacious and I felt very comfortable dining solo.
We chose this pub to stay at rather than a local hotel. Very comfortable and warm - I spelt like a log. Enjoyable supper and breakfast - full English and a newsagent nearby. We arrived early before opening time but that was no problem and we were kindly shown immediately to our room and made welcome.
We organized a largish group of 16 walking friends to finish up here for lunch. We couldn’t have asked for better. We were given one large table, orders taken for drinks (we had pre-ordered the food), and delicious, varied food served up with smiles and great service.. we will return! Thank you very much.
Met my daughter here for dinner in the restaurant and we had a brilliant time. The restaurant is really nice and the staff are really attentive and lovely. The food is delicious - we ordered nachos, steak and pizza. We ate the lot and it was really tasty. I also have a food allergy to sesame and they took excellent care of me, making this a safe place to eat.
We came here for the steak night. We rang and booked last minute and despite being busy the landlord booked us in. I’m normally quite reticent about having a steak out - but I am so glad we had steak we had rib eye, tasty succulent and cooked to perfection Sides were good, Staff despite being so busy were helpful and timely.
Popped in here for a meal following a short coastal walk in the sun. We found the restaurant area to be spacious and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was pleasingly calm and the area was very clean. My wife ordered Rainbow Chicken Salad which she said was wonderful. I had the Pork Chop on Wild Garlic Mash with Green Beans.
Great pub with rooms stayed 2 nights in a large, clean and comfortable room had two great breakfasts. The staff all very friendly and helpful. They had music on the Saturday night but no problem and the car park did not present a problem, just check your car in. Recommended and we would stay again.
After taking a long walk we decided to scour for a dog friendly pub restaurant. The landlady greeted us and from the moment we entered until we left, we were catered for well. For food I had chicken bites for starter filled by leg of lamb Sunday roast and finished off with sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.
This is a fantastic pub/restaurant. It was very busy but the service was excellent. All the customers looked happy as were we. Nothing is too much trouble for Bill, Debbie and their staff. They are brilliant hosts. This is a great place to eat and drink. They entertained us on August bank holiday Sunday for our Ruby wedding party.
